What we do...
Good Shepherd partners with many Brooklyn public schools to target children and young people with school-related difficulties. We help young people to stay in school and strengthen their academic skills by offering comprehensive services to students and their families to address problems interfering with academic performance and encourage educational growth.

Attendance Improvement Programs
Provide integrated services including attendance monitoring and outreach, counseling, crisis intervention, conflict mediation, extended day activities, tutoring, incentive trips, parent involvement activities and referrals to a broad network of services. Through these efforts, Good Shepherd staff members play a key role in the overall cohesion of each school community and are an important bridge between the home and school.

After-School Programs
We provide high school students with educational enrichment, homework help, arts & crafts, dance, sports, community service projects, leadership and job readiness skills development for students at these high schools.

College Access and Retention
Our college preparation program helps young people successfully navigate the application process, actualize their goals and receive the support they need to stay in college.
